Dr. Tawainga Katsvairo, CEO

Dr. Tawainga Katsvairo is a senior executive on several high impact projects for the betterment of humanity and to improve the quality of life. Dr Katsvairo conducts feasibility studies, market trends and evaluation of high impact technologies. He has worked with companies to take products from small scale production to large and national customers.

Dr. Katsvairo is currently leading the commercialization and turnaround of the state-of-the-art Uroycler which could be the standard health care. The Urocycler will reduce infections and currently is under consideration for the Medical Counter Measures Program.

Dr. Katsvairo is the executive director of a huge and ambitions program to reduce soil erosion in Haiti for food security, to reduce mudslides, reduce disease associated with flooding and to reduce poverty.

Dr. Katsvairo earned his M.Sc. from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. from Cornell University. Tawainga is former board member of the Tallahassee Symphony Society where he is a recipient of the Donna O’Meara award, board member for the Tallahassee Music Guild and a Rotarian.

Brian J. Awbrey, MD, FACS

Dr. Awbrey is a top-performing corporate leadership as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Research Director, driving continuous improvement of a “Top 3 International Hospital” (Newsweek 2022). Oncology-Immunology Fellowship, Harvard Medical School, twice Board Certified ABMS, Awbrey served faculty at Harvard and Member-Specialist Healthcare Clinician-Research Scientist at Harvard Massachusetts General Hospital for 25 years. He is a renowned international expert on medical devices; neuromuscular disorders, early physical rehabilitation post-surgery & sports injuries; osteoporosis-bone growth; US healthcare medical administration; and life sciences biotech clinical development. Awbrey has supervised teams of medical & academic professionals implementing clinical research and patient care to achieve 300% growth. He has served as CEO for two biotechnology medical device startup companies.

A prolific biotech inventor and researcher, he was the National Institutes of Health Clinical Investigator Awardee (K08: top 1% nationally). He has over 45 peer-reviewed publications, 75 scientific-medical articles, 100 biotech device inventions and 8 US Patents.

Awbrey earned his MD from holds an MD from The University of Iowa College of Medicine, and Fellowship in Oncology/Immunology from Harvard University-Harvard Medical School.

Dr. David Flinchbaugh, PhD, P.E., C.Mfg.E., C.E.M. – Chief Technology Officer

The inventor of the UroCycler® and a creative scientist who has Invented the Cs-Ion laser, 1960; 12 patents; 24 foreign patents; 266 inventions; 125 papers; 7 co-authored books.

Dr. Flinchbaugh created the first and only known patient-safe automatic bladder management system for patients who must wear an indwelling urinary catheter to live. Known as the “UroCycler®,” he was issued 7 patents and 4 trademarks to describe and protect its important attributes. This system has been granted 7 U.S.F.D.A. certifications of approval for safe patient use and efficacy.

Principle inventor of the ROSA nuclear service robotic system which brought $11 Billion to Westinghouse, Mitsubishi, Siemens, & Toshiba.

Inventor of the signal-processing systems & communications coding for Radar, Sonar, National Radio Astronomy Observatory, Navy, Army, Marines, Air Force, Homeland Security, and NASA.

Winner of numerous awards for scientific inventions.

Allan Anderson

Allan Anderson – Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Anderson oversees logistics and seeking of markets for the UroCyler. He has worked in several industries for the past 30 years. He is well versed in economics and held a NY State Banking License and Federal Charter. He graduated from the US Army Military intelligence and B.S. in Engineering at SUNY Empire State College, NY.

Heidi Flinchbaugh, Executive Assistant, and Market Development

Heidi Flinchbaugh is an entrepreneurial and senior executive versed in research and development, and marketing. She has been on the team that invented the Urocyler, Medventions medical device. She was one of the coordinators of the clinical trials for the company. Heidi Flinchbaugh oversaw the expansion of the Urocyler prototype onto the international market during its development stages.

Dedicated to new technologies, Heidi has served as an officer for the Florida corporation, Inventors Council of Central Florida, for over 40 years, where she assisted businesses in connecting with marketing, financing, production, and sales. 

Heidi was a co-founder of the Foundation Fighting Fatal Infection & Disease. Heid is currently the Market Development officer for Medventions Technologies.

Michael Rawers

Michael A. Rawers

Michael A. Rawers is a marketing professional with over 25 years of sales and management experience. He has successfully managed national supply chain retail sales and distribution of magazines and has extensive merchandising and in-store managerial experience over retail projects. A creative thinker. Michael is a strategist who has managed over $1.3 billion in magazine retail sales. He holds a Bachelor of Science Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jonathan S Appelbaum, M.D

Chair, Department of Clinical Sciences and Laurie L. Dozier Jr., M.D., Education Director and Professor of Internal Medicine, Florida State University Medical School.

Appelbaum was founding Core Faculty for the FSUCOM-TMH Internal Medicine Residency, Internal Medicine, FSU. His clinical work is now at Care Point Health and Wellness.

Appelbaum has held several positions, was Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Medical Director for Brigham & Women’s Physician Group in Massachusetts and director for Fenway Community Health in Boston, and consulting staff in medical oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Dr. Appelbaum graduated with M.D., University of Miami School of Medicine.

Jeff Zalasky

Vice president of Global Capital Investments, LLC, a boutique merchant banking group. He is the fouander of a law firm on employment law. Mr. Zalasky served as General Counsel for VigiLanz. He was instrumental in two other start-up companies in health care. Jeff has significant experience in organizing, financing, structuring, and operating companies. Jeff served on the board of Vascular Science, Inc. and MediaDVX. Jeff received his law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.

David Ringo

Mr. Ringo is a seasoned executive and business leader. With keen business acumen and technical expertise, David took his company from a one-person operation to an Inc. 5000 winner for four consecutive years, with numerous other awards along the way. David has worked in several industries including renewable energy and has extensive experience working for Inc. 100 Company P&G. This corporate background gave him invaluable insights into managing large organizations and working in a fast-paced competitive environment. David balances entrepreneurial spirit with corporate experience, making him a valuable asset to Medventions. David has a degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Indiana State University and a Communications Certificate, Management Information Systems from Penn State University.
